Meet Our Staff

Sunshine Coppock is originally from Texas, but relocated to Scottsdale with her husband. After undergraduate work at the University of Oklahoma, she graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch-School of Nursing in 1998.

Following nursing school graduation she went to work for Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, a group of plastic surgeons in Dallas, TX. The partners of the practice were Dr. Fritz Barton, Dr. Jay Burns, Dr. Rod Rohrich, Dr. Steve Byrd, Dr. Craig Hobar and Dr. Harry Orenstein. These surgeons were in the process of starting EpiCentre, a laser skin care clinic to compliment the existing practice. Sunshine was tasked with starting all the procedural and regulatory protocols for the new clinic. EpiCentre offered comprehensive skin care services in addition to laser procedures for the removal of hair, veins (legs and face) tattoos, and sun damage (brown spots). She ran the laser clinic for 6 years under the direction of the 6 plastic surgeons of the practice.

Sunshine has been an active member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery since 1999. During her tenure in Dallas, Sunshine and Dr. Jay Burns (nationally recognized laser surgeon) conducted several laser studies for the FDA and worked closely with several laser companies to facilitate new laser technology which led to new designs for laser skin care machines.

Sunshine has studied, trained and operated over 19 different lasers so she is very experienced and qualified in the procedures that she will be providing for Dr. Friedland. Sunshine has been with Dr. Friedland's practice for over 3 years. Sunshine looks forward to meeting all of you and helping you to continue to look your best through the tested use of laser technology procedures.
